Can someone tell me the difference between the 662.3200 series (blueish 12 LK phone) and the 662.4001 (DVK 12 line standard phone, which is 2 tone in color) Do they both work on the GMX??

It depends on the KSU... The DVK are the newer (but still ancient) version of GMX (just like the EVT is the newer version of the ESP phone). The older GMX will work on the DVK software. The DVK phones will not necessarily work on the older GMX KSUs, it depends on the software level. The only real difference in the phones is that the DVK has volume up and down buttons, the older GMX have volume knobs. Also, as with the Premier ESP phones, some use an E1 (electric) handset, some are dynamic.

be careful on the newer style phones as it is very easy to get the keys stuck into the keypad.......i have found that the quality of the lder phones better then the new....but i still am glad that my customers are dumping this dog one by one.... mitch taylor www.getwiredbymitch.com

I am amazed that there still seem to be quite a few of these phones out there. We keep getting large quantities of these and the ESP phones sent to us for repairs.

>>I am amazed that there still seem to be quite a few of these phones out there There are companies still use the Tie 612 systems and even a few with the 1A2 stuff. ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/confused.gif) Back to GMX - DVK Thanks for the comments. I have the problem with customers who want a phone for the GMX and their part #'s sometimes consist of 12 LK on one unit and a 662.**** on another and there both 12 button...so I ask what color their existing units are...bluish or 2 tone. I have never liked InterTel's part numbering system. ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/smile.gif)

the easiest way to determine the differnce is that the old style have multi-colored keys on them....an they are ugly....
but they work......i stll have 1a2 systems behind switches........

"There are companies still use the Tie 612 systems and even a few with the 1A2 stuff. " Had a guy call me last week to see if we could repair his Executone Equity II. For those too young, a 25 pair phone. It was state of the art in 1970 or so.
