Has anyone had any luck connecting to the new versions of the Inter-Tel System 8.2 thru the network.
I would like to start connecting to our systems thru our network instead of using a line to dial in.
I plugged in the network cable. Configured an IP in the programming. Unable to connect. Any trouble shooting idea's out there.
Thanks Troy

it works fine. make sure you have added the IP address to the "IP Port" on the CPC and port 4000. make sure you can ping that address. this can be done through an initial serial connection. otherwise, you can have a patch cable to the Ethernet port and make sure your PC is on the same subnet. this means you would have to change your ip address of your laptop to 192.168.200.202 or something.

thanks for the response. If I set up static IP, stat subnet and gateway. Listening Port is on 4000. I should be all set?
Question. Do I need to have Telnet and Web server set to yes?
