Why does the system need or want to reset each night - this is the first phone system I have ever seen that does this?
System is a Axxent 8.201 version

you are able to turn that off via the Maintenance Tab in DB Programming. By default, 8.x systems are set to No.

this is a fair question. resets are done for various reasons but typically for the same purpose. Resets is the way the Axxess reconciles new information buffered in memory and avoids leaking heap memory. The resets can be put off and the Axxess has come a long way in this area with the COC vs the older CPU. the next version, 9.0, will do much of the reconcilliation on the fly but that doesn't help you today. they probably will not be eliminated but greatly reduced.
