Can anyone tell me what the specs are for an Inter-Tel SLA for DID lines? Does the SLA provide talk battery or voltage during the call or does it expect the voltage from the line.

When used to accept an Analog DID, the SLA provides everything you need; talk battery, line voltage, etc. It is polarity sensitive. You should be able to plug it in anywhere and it should work with Telco specs. Older Telco switches, need their OPX ring signal received with reference to ground. Without the SLA grounded, Telco doesn't recognize our ringing. Grounding the SLA will correct this problem. Run a ground wire from the ground lug on the SLA to a true ground.

Here is what we are experiencing:

The SLA is connect to an Adtran 750 IAD FXO interface set in DPT mode. The call inbound to the SLA goes through as normal and is answered by the PBX, however the call only lasts for 11 seconds and is dropped. Do you have any ideas as to why this may be happening?

I'm having the same issue.

I just connected and configured the IP SLA for FAX machine use....

The connection is all set and ready to go, but the line just suddenly drops after a few seconds... or I get a LINE Error. I can make voice calls on it without any problems.

I also listened to the fax transmission signal and it sounds like its doing what its suppose to do...

Will the "resistor" fix actually help on this?

Thanks for the help.
