Are you talking about getting into programming through Session Mgr? By default there is no password. Try just pressing enter pass the prompt for a password.

Yes, i just took over this existing Axxess and whoever had it before had a password. Any there any level password that can not be changed yet can be used to reset all other passwords? I have alot of programming to do on this switch.

Thanks

unfortunately you will have to call Inter-Tel Tech Support and they have to reset it. They will send you a consent form for this to happen.

Just pull the battery and start from scratch.

Make sure you have a database saved before pulling the battery... and a Direct Cable and Serial Adapter Once you reset, the IP connection will not work till you are in and reset the IP address to access.. must use the Serial connection.
...pulling the battery, or actually just pulling the pin jumper on the board of the CPU card, right next to the battery, will reset the system to defaults.. You must leave it disconnected for at least 30 seconds to get past the backup capacitor... You will have no database and your Database Major Alarm and Minor Alarm lights will light to show that you have reset to default..

Hook up your cable and start a new session. Restore your saved database and you will be back in business..

When you re load the saved info, you will still have the same password to figure out. This will not do what you want it to do.

Well if the password is the only problem, and you have alot to program no harm to just dump it and start from the beginning. start by setting the cards.
