It'll work fine. If you have the newer Allworx software (at least 7.1) you don't have to purchase the Plantronics lifter. The Allworx allows headset pickup/hangup: also known as “EHS” or electronic hook switch, this lets you pickup and hangup calls from a cordless headset without a lifter. Unlike many solutions no special cord or box is needed - just plug in most headsets and it just works. Very cool.

My customers have also used the VXI headsets. They work fine too---both the corded and cordless.

If I remember correctly the EHS feature will not give you rining in the headset. We prefer the Jabra 9330E lifter because it lifts in reverse from the CS55

You are correct. In the places that we have them, many phones are ringing, so the two receptionists always can hear the ringing.

Our customers have had issues with the Plantronic lifters. They say that after awhile, it still lifts OK, but the handset doesn't seat quite right when they try to hang up. They've tried to reposition the tape---but it still isn't right.
