We are a small business in CA and we have only 6 lines. 3 lines can navigate through our clients/customers phone trees without difficulties. 3 of the lines will not allow us, for example, to dial an extension once inside a clients phone tree. Anyone experience this issue or have any thoughts? We have severe issues with echoing, fuzz and buzz as well as customers responding to conversation before we are finished talking. Clients/customers do not hear or experience the issues, only we do. Any thoughts? Our vendor has disappeared. We are on Software 7.1.8.1. We were told we had to purchase the Oct 10th update since our vendor did not install it prior to our Jan 1, 2011 installation. Thanks in advance!

Do you have a 6x? Are all of the lines from the same carrier? Are they C.O. lines (plugged into the 6 ports on the 6x? Are they SIP trunks? Are the three "bad" lines programmed different than the "good" lines? Sounds like it has something to do with DTMF. Echoing, fuzz & buzz and lag can be because of misconfigured SIP trunks or bad lines, bad wiring, a bad handset, a bad phone, or a network problem....it requires some trouble shooting from a good, qualified technician Call Allworx for a list of vendors in you area. I think there are several on this board down there somewhere. I certainly don't understand the disappearance of your vendor---did he go out of business?

sorry for posting this here, new account.
We're having issues with a TDM PRI. We turned off side-tone, and lowered the Cisco IAD's Output Attenuation. The echo is still there.
What we're trying now is changing the compression levels to see if that works.
Any other thoughts on what else to try?

Justin:
If this is a problem with the PRI and/or the IAD--start a new topic in "T-1s, CSUs & DSUs"--you'll get a lot more expert advise in that forum. PM'd

Yes, it's an Allworx system.
They were using a Mitel system before if that helps.

I'm locking this thread. This starts out with a DTMF problem and ends up asking about PRI/echo on the phones. START A NEW THREAD. You'll get much better, faster responses that way.
