Has anyone been able to use TAPI to dial outlook contacts.... Using the following
Win 2007 server, outlook 2007
Win7 on PC.
Also, looking to get outlook contacts and viewpoint contacts to sync.. same PC and server as above.

I am having a similar issue. I am on the Wave 500, the email server is hosted off site, I have outlook contacts imported into Viewpoint. They are using Win7 and 2007 outlook.
The first system we installed everything properly and it didn't work. We reinstalled again and still didn't work. Called tech support, it didn't work for them. Just before I was about to hang up the phone, it started working. As soon as mine started working, Vertical's test system started working. They don't know why it wouldn't work then it started working.
I have three more systems with the same setup but are not dialing out. Everything done the same the same way as the first. I am planning on going back out to push and pull with these systems either Weds or Monday.
If I can give you a better answer or solution, I will keep you updated.

What software level are you running? If at 2.0 you should have .cab 5122 running with appropriate follow on hot fixes. If you are running 1.5 then make sure sure you have ALL hotfixes. It has bit me.

I am running 2.0 with HF upto 40... I will apply HF 41-45 tonight.
I found out that Vertical doesn't support TAPI on Win7 pc's.
I am now working on getting Wavemail working... Another pain in the a$$...
I added my Wave to the Domain, then went to the General tab > Wavemail tab... New
Put all the settings in and hit test... FAIL...
How can I test or see what happens when I hit the test button??
Wireshark? what filter?
Wave console??
I need to figure out why it fails?? Setting? or something else.
Help....

Hi,
When you installed Viewpoint did you install the extra componets needed for TAPI?

Yes... I did the custom install.
I am in the process of going throught the Global Admin guide starting at page 11-28,
Every step of this process is for the birds and you need your Microsoft certs to integrate this crap... Don't let anyone tell you its a phone system... I have spent many hours on this now and it's still not done... All i want is a step by step procedure to get wavemail up and working.

I have only did it on 1.5 and it went fine. Is this just a 2.0 issue you are having?

it's working now.... It was a bit frustrating.
Now I've started another topic because my TAPI isn't loading on my laptop correctly.
