I think you're talking about the caller not having to push a button to leave a message, but the ccrs don't seem to offer an option for time out. Maybe someone else has a work around.

The only workaround is to send the after hours calls to one phone or a virtual mailbox and let that extension mailbox play "a main greeting" then a message can be left without pushing a key. The drawback is that the caller can't dial any other extensions.

The simplest fix is just change the ccr to say..."if you would like to leave a message in the general mailbox...press ???"

You could probably send the CCR No Ans Destination to a hunt group. Then program the hunt group to time out in 2 seconds and forward to an unused station that is forwarded to the voice-mail.
I like Z-man's idea the best.

I have a business that wants an auto attendant for night only, but wants the auto attendant to come on delayed after three rings so they can answer the phone in case they are still in the office after hours. I set up an auto attendant with an automatic schedule to come on at the time the business closes and to end when the business opens. However, I was told that I cannot preset FWD Timer to VMIB 2 with the necessary seconds because it would ring the night mode during the day also. As a work around I am thinking of supplying the business owner with the instructions on how to manually switch into day mode for after hours and back to auto mode after he/she leaves. Was I informed correctly and/or is there a better way to go about this?

Manual switch is the best.
