From what we were told in the Webinar, support of these phones requires a software key, similar to how the XTS does for certain upgrades. It is in there, it just needs to be unlocked. I'm sure that there is a charge for this.

From what I was told on my training there is no charge for the activation of Edge 700 / XTS / Triad / Infinite / Comdial phones. You just have to be a Comdial or Vodavi dealer to get the codes. If you aren't a dealer you can only use SBX or STS phones. You can get the licenses from Vertical Inside Sales

The backlight doesn't work for the Edge phones on the MBX, so until they add that feature you might as well use the SBX phones.

Just the Edge 700 phones, right? The Edge 8000 backlights should work.

The IP phone backlights do work.
