What is the advantage of parking a call over just putting it on hold and then announcing something like "call on line 1"?

If you had a lot of CO Lines or a PRI, you would not want to program appearances for each one on every phone, so you would use parking.

Call park is best used with PRI or if you're using a co group key. There's no need when using plain jane CO keys.
