We just installed an SBX with phones in a fairly loud environment. Even at the highest setting, the 4024 phones' ringing volume isn't very loud. Is there a setting in the system to increase this range?

Nope, it works just like the XTS, tap the volume control when the phone is ringing. I don't think the default ring is as attention grabbing as some of the other choices.

Yeah we use ring 7 cause it sounds like an actual phone and default is probably half or less than half of the volume the phone can actually ring to..like he said press up when ringing or throw a pa2a in if it's not loud enough for them.

With a little luck, you might find a tone that cuts through and can be heard. But unless you only need one analog external ringer or strobe that you could connect to an slt port, your cost for multiple external alerts and more slt ports can skyrocket.
