Hello,
I have a customer that wants a line to ring to a phantom user, I know how to have the line ring to that mailbox. But can I create a phantom user so I dont have to use a physical port? I would like to use extension 300 if that is possible. The user would then be able to call the main number and press 9 and pick up the voicemails....

If you are asking about the SBX then what you want is possible depending on what software version you are using.

You simply assign the user a virtual mailbox. The SBX has to have software 3.5 in order to not use a port.

I was using 3.5Ah and needed 3.5An it's odd because when you get the ksu's the cd is 3.5Ah.... anyway when I set it up for the customer I had to add an expansion cabinet so while I was doing that from 100 I just set up the virtual mailbox so when a call comes into the new line it goes straight to the virtual mailbox.

I believe there is a specific range for phantom mailboxes, did it once, cant remember the range but someone in tech support will probably know it right away.
