I have a new test system that has NT VM and the basic Axxess stuff. When I initially logged into the system the VM was off and I answered "YES" to proceed without it.
Now the VM seems to be active and plugged in, AVDAP(or whatever it is) shows the link is up and all so I assume it is working, only problem is the VM no longer shows up inside the programming interface.
I have rebooted many times, re-did the profile, verified everything I can think of is working, but I still cannot see it.
I sorta remember this from years ago when I ugraded my OS/2 VM to NT, but for the life of me I don't remember the solution...
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Highlight System and on right hand side of screen last item will say Voice Processor enabled, change this to yes, and re start programming. ------------------ Voice and Data Cabling in DFW, [email protected] DnR Communications

Thanks again for the info!
At this rate I will actually be able to get the system running, learn a few things and teach others at my office...new concepts for me all around!

Worked like a charm, now that I know it the solution sticks out like a sore thumb...
One more question and I will give this a rest for a while...We currently use a serial connection to program the system. I am running 5.2x firmware. Could I use a TCP/IP connection to program the system? Or does it require a higher firmware version that I currently have?
Thanks!

unfortunately you are stuck with the cable at that release. there was a serial/IP converter that work pretty well. i can look to see if it still exists. let me know.

I nearly picked up a serial/IP converter on Ebay yesterday, just wanted to see if that was the best solution.
What is the lowest version that will let you do the TCP/IP programming? Depending on the version it might be worth looking into...
Thanks!

the converter we sold was targeted at 7.x. the 8.x release has an Ethernet port built into the CPC so no converter necessary. Should the converter work with 5.1 or higher? I think so, but it would be a trial and error process to get the settings correct.
