I recently added a new user and mailbox to our Intertel system using DB studio (system is on 5.346). The user's mailbox is working, but when outside callers try and reach her mailbox through the directory... for some reason her name is alphabetized by the letter "D". Her first name is Stacie and her last name starts with G... so, I don't understand where it's getting D. If we scroll through the names in the directory, Stacie shows up between user's with first names starting with C and G. All the other names in the directory are alphabetized correctly. So, what gives? Also, at this user's station, two of her programmable keys are set to secondary extensions and I can't clear them (says non-programmable). Anyone know how to clear those?

Normally the discription box for a mailbox will be set up LASTNAME,FIRSTNAME, tho it could be set up with a space between them, but all discriptions need to be the same. If all are the same, I would delete the MB and re create it again.
Can change her user keys under her station under Programmable keys.

I re-entered the description field for the user names, and I think that should take care of my alphabetical dilemma... thanks for the advice.

I still can't unprogram this user's non-programmable keys. They are secondary extensions. On everyone else's phones I can clear the keys using 395. In DB Studio all of her keys are listed as undefined. So, I'm stuck. I don't get it. Where or how can I clear these darn non-programmable secondary extensions. The guide says that an administrator can clear them... and I am the admin.

As admin you can change Programmable keys, but these were programmed in DB programming to be secondary extension keys, so you have to change them in DB programming.

I figured I had to change the keys in DB Studio, but they're listed as undefined. If I change them in DB studio... to say, Feature Keys they still say Secondary Extension on her phone and they remain unchanged. I'm under Device and Feature Codes - Stations - the user's station - programmable keys - they are all set to undefined. I doesn't seem to matter what I set them to. If I walk over the phone they remain unchanged and still say non-programmable.

Hmmmm well, try looking under Station Related Info, Key assignments, Keysets, and what ever group that phone is in. See what those keys are, and then go back and program that programmable key under his station under devices.
Have never heard of a key being programmed and not show up.
One thing you might look at is if it is using it's alternate keyset map. It might be listed there as secondary extension. Sorry thinking as I type.

Okay... finally found it. You were on the right track. The user's phone was listed under a different keyset than everyone else, which used a different keyset map than everyone else was using. Once I ck'd the keyset map... there were the secondary extension keys. I simply set them to user programmable and voila... they cleared.
