Hello all,
I recently pulled my inter-tel system out of mothballs and installed it in my new business. The system was originally setup to answer phones for my computer company and my bridal boutique. Needless to say hard economic times caused us to close the computer office and mothball the system. Anyhow I had a new vendor come out and reprogram system (Very expensive...) I used to be able to have the phone system call me to notify me when I had a new message, now it does not work. Remote message notification is enabled, but when I access my mailbox it notifies me that it could not deliver the messages due to a programming error. Any ideas where I should begin looking for problem?
thanks
Craig

Chances are it was set to dial out using a secondary Trunk group and now I would guess you only have 1 trunk group. Call your tech and tell him he missed something, and if he is any good, he will return and set it right (should have been checked). ------------------ Voice and Data Cabling in DFW, [email protected] DnR Communications

ok have premium features enabled. Currently am trying to enable this feature on voicmeail box 1002.
Remote Message enabled is yes primary message notification cascade level one
enable notification is yes call progress detection yes notification type personal number notificaiton number 503913xxxx actual phone entered
outgoing access 92001 which is my CO trunk group
I have tried adding an outgoing prefix...
Nothing seems to work. Always get a message while checking voicemail that messages were unable to be delivered due to a programming error.
Do you have a checklist on how to setup this feature? Just to make sure that I didn't miss something stupid.. Unfortunately I am my system tech... I am a systems engineer but semi new to telephone tech work...
Thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!

There is a step by step remote messaging set up in the manual. It would be a lot to try and relay as it's probably a page and a half or so long, but it is there if you have a copy. Unfortunately the manuals are copyrighted and as such per board rules we can't post the actual pages, however I have seen them posted in .pdf format online in the past so you might want to search for one. If you don't find it, I would highly suggest purchasing a copy if you are going to continue working on your own system. It will be a great help.
Also, please update your profile. I noticed your homepage wasn't active. An up to date profile will greatly enhance the response you get from the techs :thumb:

I would check to see if the Voicemail notification app has outgoing access to your trunk group.
