The only thing I've come up with is CID within the system and room phones that store the CID info. This gets $$$$$$$$$$$!

A more difficult workaround would be to give all stations a DID, and route internal calls out on a CO, then back in on a DID; Or else loop an extension to a CO port and route internal calls through it, but you'd have a good chance of traffic issues.
By any chance are you trying to track phantom internal calls on extension 111 or something like that?
