We just installed the Allworx system and have a few remote users trying to connect through their AT&T Uverse setup. The phones register to the server, but they experience no audio on calls. Some are able to make a couple of calls, but the audio issue crops up again. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. We can't very well tell these users they need to change their provider.

Where are you located?? What revision software do you have? What model Allworx do you have?

On that UVerse---is that a DSL?? What's the bandwidth on that circuit? How many internet users are up when these people are trying to make calls. Take everyone off, then only have the Allworx phone being the only thing on the internet. See what happens. What type of phones are you using for the remotes?

If they're using U-verse for an analog line (the uverse ata) put the phone in the its DMZ. Actually, analog line or not, put it in the ata. On newer firmware uverse modems the SIP ALG can't be disabled, whether they have a faux analog line through the modem or not.

I could NEVER get it to work behind a Comcast modem with digital voice (and probably other cable providers faux analogs), and I did EVERYTHING I could. Customer had to get a separate Comcast modem for the remote phone! (one thing I didn't try, but might have worked, was to have the customer purchase a block of IP addresses, but that could be more expensive than the second modem)
