Greetings:
I have a one CIX 100 and one CIX 672 which I administer with the Network eManager. I've been trying to use the SM backup feature but I continue to receive errors when attempting to access the card - and which I have forgotten to jot down for this forum. If I pull the SM card and reinsert the card, the SM LED light does flash for 5 seconds and then goes dormant. If I attempt to use any feature in programming involving the SM card (format, copy, backup, read files, etc), the SM LED light never lights up and I receive the error message. I'll try to get the message but does anyone know what is wrong? Bad card or possibly a jumper in the wrong position?

Might be a bad SM card. Try formatting it on a SM card reader from a pc and see if you can do it.

What size SD card are you using? Typically they are 1GB and I know for a fact that you cannot use any old SD card that you find at Target.

I'm checking out the site today and I'll let you know. Both for reading the card and the size.

OK visited one of the sites today. It was a CIX 100 which seems to have taken the transfer and unmount in SM/SD card. Took about 5 minutes and said it was successful. But the CIX backup still fails. Oh, and reading the card via external USB reader was successful - there were the correct five directories present. Any thoughts on this one?
