Just replaced an old Toshiba system in the med clinic with a CIX100 with expansion cabinet. The old system and the hospital were tied together through our office by using analog ports on one system backfed through our office and then plugged into CO ports on the other system. 2 from the clinic and 3 from the hospital. Each site would then use CO access codes to get intercom dial tone from the other system and then direct dial stations at the other location. When we get done with the fiber project we are in the middle of this will change but for right now we are keeping it as is. Last night the hospital called and said they are unable to direct dial the clinic. This had worked since last Wednesday. I would like to put an R48S on the RSTU at the clinic. Are there any programming settings on the new CIX100 that need to be changed? Thanks for the help.

No programming change is required to add the R48S. But you might be looking at a disconnect signaling issue which can prevent the CO ports from releasing the call.
