I am trying to find the proper configuration for setting up a button on a telephone showing another extension status. M2616 sets in a multi tenant building sharing the telephone system. One tenant has 6 telephones in a group they have a call pickup button that they use if they hear a telephone ringing in the room. Problem is that they all wear headsets and you can never tell when someone is on a call. They want to set a button on each phone for each extension. They have been able to get a button to show the extensions but when an extension is on the second line this does not show as busy on the other sets. Only the primary extension button in use shows. SCN is current config of the button. Tried using BFS but that just made all the buttons light up on a call in to any extension. Any ideas or of the correct setting to do this?

Can't you just add 2 SCN's on the other phones to display both "lines"?

Not enough buttons and that would be a pain. One button to know when someone is on the phone or ext is busy. Handsfree Program ext Message ext Make busy ext Forward ext Conference ext Transfer sys speed Ext 2095 call pickup Ext 1095
