A potential new client wants the ability to transfer and/or forward a call out to a cell phone on the SAME CO line the call came in on. They only have four analog CO lines so if the call forwards out on a second CO line they are using up half of their CO lines for one call.

I know you can program the FLASH button for EFA and as long as the phone company supports it a user can press the FLASH button during a call, dial another outside number, press flash again to establish a three party call and then hang up. This keeps the two outside parties connected while the user on the phone system drops out and the line actually is available for another call. We can do that on our NCP-500. Is there a way to do this using a wireless station. They would like to set the call forward all destination of the forward string to a cell phone but we would need a way to include the flash and a disconnect in the forward destination. Any ideas?

On the TDA if I remember, it would be *60pxxx-xxx-xxxx
in the call fwd section of the console. Programming via PT you may need Transfer*60Pxxx-xxx-xxxx. (No dashes input)
Outside transfer must be allowed vie COS.
Parallel Ringing available with Enhanced software. I don't know if this works with CFD.
Various options are available for what CLIP to send to outside party.
You can also make up virtual extensions for outside employees or others, have them fwd always to where ever, can be dialed as extension.

Okay, thanks for the ideas. Here is what I did.

I took a portable station extension number 420 and setup the call forward. The call forward was set to forward all to *60Pxxx-xxx-xxxx (without the dashes). It did not work. When I have a caller on the line and press transfer and dial 420 it comes back as BUSY. Any ideas? I checked the COS settings and they are set to allow transfer to CO so that should be okay. Am I missing anything else?

Try -Ext Settings-Portable Ext-Tab 7. Set Flash mode during conversation to EFA.
Any user doing this manually would need this to.
Been awhile, you may need *50P*60Pxxx-xxx-xxxx. The only files I have at this time are systems using PRI, they just use 2 lines.
I will try to get other files from office.

The setting is already set to EFA. All of our clients that do this either have a PRI or have enough POTS lines that using up two of them is not a problem.

If I do this manually it works fine. I can press FLASH, dial another phone number, press FLASH again and hang up. It clears the lines but connects the other two callers. I would think there would be a way to do this automatically but I cannot seem to figure out what it would be.

Maybe I'm delusional.

Do they have a TVA? If so, send CFWD ALL to vm, use personal
menu digit or T/O to Xfer to Out. The TVA will do EFA Xfer.

Yes, they have a TVA. I will try this out and report back. Thanks for the idea.
