We have an old DCS v4.2 telephone system. Currently we have assigned most of the phones a direct phone number so they can be called directly from outside. However when they call out themselfs, the central number is being displayed at the receiver end. Is it possible to configure it to display the direct number?
many thanks in advance!

You have to setup CO+EXTENSION in one of the MMC (somewhere on 300 or 400??, I can't remember which MMC this is. I can find it for you till monday.

You have a T-1 card or E-1 card, DID cards, this is a three cabinet type DCS or what as you may have different equipment overseas that we have here.

I always set to DID tel no in mmc312. You will also need to get your provider to enable ext level cli and/or extension level billing

Thanks for all the replies! I checked en noticed that CLIP send is on for all stations, but still the central number is being displayed on outside receiving phones. Does this require configuration by line provider? We have 8 outside lines (4xISDN) with 2 numberblocks (total 20 numbers). Wish is to have the stations (one of the 20) own direct number being displayed when calling out, instead of central number.

I don't think it's possible on a system that old - looking at the old Combined Programming Manual v3 (for DCS, DCS Compact, DCS Compact II, DCS-816, DCS-408, iDCS100 and iDCS500, circa 2003) MMC323 SEND CLIP NUMBER states "iDCS systems only"
This has become CALLING PARTY NUMBER on OS7000 systems.

In the CLIP send/receive MMC keep going past CLI send and CLI receive and you will find a setting where you can change from co number to DID tel no for all stations.
Note that if a station has 2 indial numbers assigned it will show the one that appears first in the indial table
