I'll answer my own question. You cannot assign park buttons to a station in partner mode. You have have to park the call to the ext you are talking on. The docs say to only park one call to an ext. seems limited

And there you have it folks. The first hint that the Partner will be discontinued. RIP old friend.

Without Partner mode (now basic) you would take away the advantage of upgrading from ACS to IP Office and reuse the sets.

Ya think they care? If it isn't selling it's costing them money. And the reason it isn't selling is because they market to the IT types who only understand IP.

The introduction of the IPO R8.1 server edition should open your eyes to the handwriting on the wall. I predict that the Partner hardware will disappear within the next year then the IPO hardware will be gone within the next three or four. Think how much money they will save if they don't have to worry about that pesky hardware and only provide software that will run on a customer supplied server.

Its called progress. Its going to happen. Maybe not quite as quick as Hal says, but it will. We just have to be able to adapt. Like someone once said, the only constant thing in life is change.

Progress driven by greed that is putting all of us out of business.

It's not putting us out of business, it's just making us change the way we do business.
When 1A2 left we all thought we were finished.
Same thing just different.
