Just tried to upgrade a customer from a T1 to a PRI and incoming calls work great with calling number and name. Outbound calls dial out but when the far end answers there is no audio. This is connected through a Cisco router to a Meta switch CO. PRI is set up for NI2/5ESS. Also the outbound caller ID does not work. Anyone run into this problem before.
The provider claims that they have everything set up correctly of course.

I fought with Paetec for 6 months over a PRI that would do the exact same thing through a Meta switch. I need to explain I had this PRI in the Mitel EL working fine with Verizon. The customer got a "better deal" with Paetec.

After months and hours of changing equipment and changing every parameter, the customer finally agreed with me and switched back to Verizon. The PRI works perfectly.

The common denominator that I see here is the Meta switch.

Update to problem. Last night I looked at all the parameters on the PBX side again and changed 1 system option to No Overlap Outpulsing. This morning we tried testing the calls and they are going out just fine with audio and caller ID like they are supposed to. The LEC says that they made no other changes on their end. I am not sure how that makes it work but it is so the customer is happy which makes me happy.
