Ring over page is programmed by setting DIT to #31xx. But DIT is also used to send calls to a multi-call group so voice mail can pickup calls after a delay. I need to do both and could not find a work around because the multi-call group does not permit using anything other than PDN numbers.
Aside from rigging a phone to the horn, is there any other solutions to this.

The PI-DKT can sometimes be found used (I have a couple spares and the new ones are at https://www.pageindustries.net (No prices listed) If you are a tech they will ask you to set up an account.I don't think they sell retail. All they take is a digital port to connect to the paging system and you call that extension number to page (or go into programming to change it to a different number.)

I did think about that option. But did not want the customer thinking we are nickle and diming them with add-ons.
Our usual solution is to hook up the horn to a phone in the shop. Since this customer does not have a phone in the shop then the solution is to add one or the pi-dkt, an extra cost.

You need a PI-DKT or an analog port connected to a ringer contacts on the amp. There really is no way to do in with programing. In the past I spent way too long myself looking for a trick.

Assuming the page terminals are near the phone system, you could take a used 1 button digital phone, clip the speaker wires, use a Radio Shack 8 ohm to 1000 transformer (if needed) and go to the paging system.
The PI-DKT is not that much money, especially used and a quick fix, you do charge for your time.

Fortunately the customer saw the light. Unless there is a phone out in the shop then you really don't need to hear it ring. And, they have a cordless anyway.
