Working on a customer's KX-NCP500 system and cannot get logged in on my laptop using the maintenance console software. After I tell it to connect via LAN and enter the password, I get an error on the screen telling me that the program is not installed correctly. I can login to the system via the phone at ext. 101 using the same password, so I know that is not the issue. I tried re-installing the application but the same result. I am using V7.1.1.6 of the software on a Windows 7 Professional 32-bit laptop. Anyone run into this before, or have any suggestions? Thanks.

During the installation of the program,at some point you are asked to select/check a suffix depending on your country and pbx model.Did you do all that correctly?.if you are in the USA,there is no suffix selection.

Have you been able to use the same pc(laptop) elsewhere and successfully connected via LAN?.

Which country?

Problem is not login password.

I will check the suffix selection. I did not install the software initially on my laptop, but I know when I went to re-install I did choose a suffix (I don't recall which at the moment) so I am thinking you are right and that may be my issue. I will give that a try and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion.

That was the problem. I did not have the US version of the software installed. Installed and can log in successfully now. Thanks!
