Have a customer that had a cutover from 1 carrier to another today. 6 CO lines (loop start) on the switch. 5 in Hunt, 1 is seperate. All lines, in Hunt, point to Auto-Attend directly. Customer Call Forwards all 5 CO lines to offsite answering service. This has been working ok till today. Now, at random, Line 1 rings even if the Line has been Call Forwarded. The CF does route the call like it should. When the phone rings, regardless 1 or 5 rings, you get a busy signal when you pick up every time. I will call from my cell to the customer (while Call Fowarded) and everything seems fine.
any ideas?

By any chance are the new lines VOIP?

How are they call forwarding the lines? via the provider or via the system?
If via the provider then it's not your issue.

Carrier issue, Once the lines are diverted they shouldn't ring into the system, until they are undiverted.
Also unless people call into the rotary lines directly you only need to divert the prime number in the line hunt.

Usually at least here, when you call forward using the telco feature, the line will still ring once before it forwards. That is to "remind" you that you have forwarding on.I would guess the system sees that, sends it to the auto attendant and then rings the no selection destination? What does a ringing phone say ?

I'm pretty sure pvj nailed it. Most carriers up here (NY) ring once or twice when forwarded, if you answer its dead air or reorder tone. You could have the customer change Ring Patterns where the lines ring a virtual ext so they don't hear it when they forward calls instead of the ring group.

nameless - people will call in any number in the Hunt Group, thats why ALL numbers are CF.
pvj - the ringing is constant until some picks up. Display reads Transfer from 301 or 304. and it always changes to a different ext number.
Again, this never happened till will switched Carriers.

It changes to a different 301, 302, 303, 304 number because the vm group is set for sequential hunt.
You can ask the new carrier to put a trace on that circuit for that hour and see what is happening.

The VM group is calling by itself. When I pick up the phone, I notice Line 1 (701), is in the display, if I call Line 1. If I call in on 703, then after about 1-2 minutes, the VM calls, I pick it up and 703 is in the display
