I've been racking my brain here trying to forward an extension to an outside number that is long distance and on a T1 that requires an account code to be entered. I can get the number to forward but I can't figure out how to put pauses in and then the 3 digit code so the call will be placed. I have tried using the operator console as well as remote programming the extension. I have an Axxess system with version 8.2. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks a bunch!

Do you have account codes on the PBX or the T-1? In other words when you dial an LD number, does the screen of your Axxess fone say 'Enter Account Code', or do you hear an audible tone?

I think I may have figured it out, but I was hoping for an easier solution. (I have a fax server setup that required building a new facility group so we could add the extra digits - I may need to add another facility group for just this extension.) - Unless you know of a different way...

You could fwd. to a station speed dial that has the pause and account code.

Can you remotely program a speed dial numer on an analog phone? Also how do you set an immediate fwd to a speed dial?

Well, you can 'remotely' program a station speed dial via DB Studio when in On-Line Monitor, though you can also program one on the analog ext. itself. To set fwd. to spd. dial, dial 'Infinity, 355, Infinity 382, (speed dial 0-9), speaker). I'm not sure you can do this w/ an analog fone, but you could do this on a digital fone, then stare and compare the digital fone fwd. info in OLM and program yer analog fone that way.

You could set up a phantom extension that forwards to a speed dial and use a keyset. You would set up the extension/keyset, then program the speed dial, hit forward then the speed dial, then remove the keyset. If you don't have a spare circuit, you can even move a station card to another slot, program it up, then remove the card and put it back where it was. Once it's programmed it will stay in the cabinet's brain so to speak.

AHA!!!! I got it! You need to press the Special key 4 times to insert a pause when programming a call forward number - after inserting 4 pauses I entered the account code and tested the call. It went through! I appreciate your efforts on this Superfoneguy.

Thanks guys! - actually the extension I'm using is a phantom analog extension that is 'hung' off a digital extension.
