I am new to Mitel, this is Mitel sx-200 mx controler.anyway this motel is renovation the lobby, and some one disconnect the lobby's phone and the printer that connect together to the big phone( I think it connect together).I connect the console to the wall jack it seems to work but I don't know how to connect the printer and small device.this device is allow me to punch in the amount money and allow rooms to call out.
my next question is, all rooms can not call out after dial 9,get dial tone, but it restrict the call after put in any digit, like 5, but can dial 9 16265 then got restrict.
I'like to know how to let all rooms to call out without restrictions.

On purpose, I'm guessing you need to get that printer port back in service. Mitels don't forgive. When the SMDR goes offline, the system shuts down the outgoing calls that use SMDR. Once you get it back on line, the buffers clear and the system will process calls.

In an ML/EL the serial port is under the console and uses the other bearer channel from the console port. If you can't figure out how the data is multiplexed to the lobby, you'll have to read the database to see where the SMDR is assigned.

Look on the 'big phone' and see if it has the label SC1000. If so, the printer probably has a connector to fit the 25 pin plug on the back of the SC1000. If not, you will probably have to come back with more info.

I have a better idea. Call a Mitel dealer in your area and pay to have it connected properly before you cause damage to the system that may bring the system down altogether. Don't be "penny wise and pound foolish."
