We are currently running CCS V3.3. This is supposed to be compatible with WS2003. CCS does not recognize the licensing. The obvious thought is drivers for the licensing dongle. All drivers are up to date. WS2003 recognizes the device. The manufacturer diagnostics recognize the device. We started with the parallel port dongle. It still works fine on the old system (a desktop running 2000 Pro) but will not work on WS2003. The new machine (HP Proliant DL 320)is not offered with a parallel port. So we added a port with a PCI card. Since the port was not a part of the original system, and therefore not accessible in BIOS, we thought this may be the cause. Much to the chagrine of Inter-Tel, we switched to a USB dongle. Side note, this machine is also successfully running ACD Message Manager with its own USB dongle. CCS does not recognize the USB dongle. I'm to the point of believing it is strictly a problem with the CCS program. We are switching the system to WS2003 so we will not be limited to the 10 concurrent users available on 2000 Pro or XP. I've not had a chance to try the USB dongle on the old system. If it does work there, I must believe it is a CCS WS2003 compatibility issue.

Any ideas?

After 2 months, we found the answer. Server 2003 has a function called DEP. It keeps executables from running. Add the .exe file to the allowed list.

Thanks for the follow up post. And that points me towards a possible solution to a challenge we are facing with Server 2003.
