This has been an ongoing, intermentant problem for us. BCM 450 R6 with T7316e sets. Using a PRI for our DID numbers.
Several users complain that when using their speakerphone, the voice is cutoff, much like when the local user coughs or rustles some papers. I have different users that are connected to different cards. It doesn't happen every time. I've changed phones. Nothing seems to help.
I don't know if it's something in the BCM or the PRI circuit from Windstream. I don't think we had trouble before the PRI was installed.
Thanks. Jim

Should be no relation to each other.
Test both Intercom calls and using handsets only extensively. Do same using backup analog lines if they have any.
Make sure nothing new on desk and in front of the mic or new air vents blowing into mic etc.
Note NT# of problems sets.

The 7316 is a fast switching unit not full duplex and it takes very little to make it switch. You can try putting a yellow legal pad under the phone to avoid the "bounce" of sound from the desk into the phone, that sometimes helps, but it would have been smart to spend the few dollars more and put the parts in for a full duplex and Nortel just didn't do that.
