Iwatsu ECS V.10 I get "KT Data Error" when I try to connect a 18i. The manual says that means the extension is already in use but that is not the case. I tried different logical ports and extension numbers. The system has several Icon IP phones running on it.
Help...I am lost

You could have an IP conflict or a licensing issue. Be doubly sure of your port assignments and numbering schemes. Sometimes it's easier to log into the IP phone with a browser to see all your settings in one place. If you have some kind of configuration issue, it may jump out at you if you can see how everything is set up.
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

It turned out to be the phone software needed updated.
