I logged into my Inter-tel Audio/Web Conference system and noticed I can't pick dates past 2012.

Is there an update for this?

No update available; the product is no longer supported. We're making our conferences reservationless beginning January 1.

The upgrade path is to the Mitel Collaboration Advanced (MCA)application.

Even the Reservationless conference has a start and end date.

How does that work then?

It looks like it's just the actually web page itself that has the limitation.

Probably just the pre-programmed options in the Drop Down List.

Will I be able to logon to this machine as ROOT?
If so it should be easy enough to find the code and extend it.

I looked at the upgrade but I'm not interested in any of those new features.

Is the root login set by default from inter-tel or by who installed the system?

I need to look at this box and the time on my voice mail box is wrong and need to update this as well.

wasn't sure if I need to contact the installer or just find the defaults.

I found this fix on another forum, and it worked as stated:

Reset Redhat root password

vi the file vcs_lib_time.xsl in the directory "/usr/local/apache/htdocs/vcs/"

On line 326, you can change the year range to 2012-2025


We hired a Linux guru, who backed up the hard drive and performed the modification.

DND ON is correct - the two step fix works. In our situation the date code line wasn't at 326, so you may need to scroll abit. We set it out for 15 years, tested and all is well. DND, getting a Linux guru would have been the smart approach. Now we know enough about Linux to be very, very dangerous.

Does anyone have the full file for the vcs_lib_time.xsl
It appears in editing the dates I actually removed a line
I am getting an error now.

Any chance you have the file. I edited mine and appears I changed a line at the beginning as well, I need to review another one
