Hi

I have a customer in Oz with a BCM50a with a music source attached and working.

Problem is it works perfectly as background music, but for music on hold is very scratchy. Since its the same source of music, any clues as to why this is so? Thinking there might be separate pots to adjust the volume, is this so?

TIA

Kevin

Upload some music and test to see if it works.
Could be a glitch or damage if MOH not properly hooked up in the first place.
A reboot or re-program from scratch can help sometimes.

Do you have a good solid cord with real wire or one of those real thin stranded wires that have hardly any copper to them? You have to deliver enough "oumph" for MOH to work properly.

Are you using the audio plug on the front or are you using the wires on the amphenol cable ?
Try the one you are not using.

Have you switched the two input wires? (Polarity)

Try another input device?

or you may have a bad MOH circuit.

Thanks all.

I believe I have resolved the issue. Waiting for feedback from the customer.

I changed the cable, reversed the polarity & the LIU, without any joy.

But then noticed that the music is self-recorded by the customer & it appears that different tracks are of different quality, so I believe that's the issue.

Curly, I saw a young lady waiting at the far end of a yellow brick road, was this the lady you wanted me to say 'Hello' to?
