Hello: We have a 600 that just crashed. ESI sent a new motherboard, M3 module and two new memory modules. Once I got the new motherboard I connected each of the memory modules directly to the motherboard and both modules work and all info on memory modules were saved.

So, we went ahead and had the M3 installed on the motherboard installed the two old memory modules and all was working for about 2 hours.

When the primary memory module tried to copy to the secondary memory module I got a beep from the system and an error whcih indicates it is not copying.

Any thoughts on what to do next? I silenced the alarm and left the site as it was late in the day on Friday. The system (knowck on wood) has been fine since.

It sounds like you're saying they sent you a new motherboard and modules and all you installed was the motherboard, is that right?

If the board went bad its highly likely the drives took a hit, too. I'd suggest putting in one of the new modules as the secondary, and then after X amount of days go back and move the secondary to the primary, and put in the second new module as the secondary.

That'll get you to two new modules with all your data intact (except maybe for anything that became corrupted during the time the board was bad).
