Hello,

I'm the sys admin for my company and the computer hosting the strata dk phone system just went belly up.

I was wondering if any kind user on this forum could point me in the direction of the R4admin.exe program needed to manage the system? I can't seem to locate any installation cd.

Best,

Brandon

Do you have the dongle for the computer for your admin program?

I think what seasound means is, you need to have a DB9 serial port on your computer or laptop to interface with DK Strata Voicemail. They do make a USB to serial adapter --it may work, but have proven to be problematic. I also would use XP as your platform as I'm not sure the software works on Vista or 7.
You will also need a straight through DB9 serial cable with a null modem adapter.

Actually there are two seperate Admin programs, One for the KSU (DK-40, DK-280, etc.) and One for the Voicemail.

I thought the R4Admin was for the KSU, and required a security "Dongle" that plugged into the printer port.

The new DK-admin no longer requires a dongle, it's free. R4admin is for the voice mail. This is a major confusion for the end user administrator who doesn't understand the difference.

What you need is DK-Admin and VM manager, which you have to be a dealer to get.
