Howdy,

So I've always built SPNet and built the same number of trunks as I have MGI channels, however, Imma justa here thinkin'..

I have two 7200-S's I'm networking. One has (6) MGI's and the other has (4) MGI channels. (one has a couple IP phones and the other doesn't)

So I'm thinking, what dictates the number of SPNet trunks? Could I build 16 on each side (knowing I still have audio limitation from SPNet to digital phones limited to the number of MGI channels I have)?

Or what's the rule that dictates how many should be equipped?

You assign virtual cards, and can get up to 32 SPnet trunks, 4 virtual card slots.

So I also assume that digital phones to SPNet trunks need an MGI channel?

so I'm really limited on the number of MGI channels that I have, right?

Are you SPNet through MGI or PRI? If it is through PRI then you don't need mgi for digital. If over MGI then yes you do, but that would just use the channel it is making the call on. No additional MGI channel is needed.

I always leave the TG at the default, the system will only let the number of calls through that there are mgi channels available.
