This happens with certain ext. I can hear a ring tone but as soon as the caller picks up, there is just silence. Though, the person at the receiving side of call says they can hear me. This is an issue with internal ext only.
I have tried a few things, but I don't have any clue what would be causing that so its hard for me to troubleshoot.
Thanks for any tips.
Strata Cix/Toshiba IPT2020 phones.

We have a similar issue which we believe is related to the usage of the internet pipe between locations.
o What sort of pipe do you have in each location? o Is there unrestricted access to the internet at those locations? o Do you allow streaming sites through your network?
Hope this gives you food for thoughts...

We have narrowed it down to the phones connecting to external IPU's are having the communication issue. We have 3 cards used for phones outside our central base and they connect to a external\public IPU. The phones connecting to private 192 address work as they should.
It seems random, its not related to one specific card. Not all users of the external phones are having the issue, but that might be just because they rarely call an internal ext.
Our bandwidth should not be an issue, I am not sure the specifics but we recently upgraded.
Any advice on the why the data breaks down randomly between external and internal IPU?
We are close to calling a Toshiba tech in but just wanted to throw this out there in case there is something I can try and save the day. I wont let it go to my head.

I found this: To disable peer-to-peer for DNs you need to enable FB16 in program 250 (non peer-to-peer mode). If using eManager, the administrator can enable Station IP NAT per DN from the IP Telephony and IPT Data menu.
I still cant find where to enable this though. Im using emanager, and don see anything about program 250 or FB 16.

You are in the phone program 3-6-9-hold. Program 250 IPT DATA, FB16 IPT NAT/No Peer to Peer is in EManager. What version of emanager are you using?

Thanks Voyager, I found program 250 in emanager and enabled FB16. I really need to find a manual for the version of emanager we use, I couldnt find anything through google on where 250 is inside emanager. Eventually found it by just scanning through most of the menu system.
After finding it, I enabled FB16 on one of the problem ext last Wed and the user has not had the issue since. So I think this is going to work.
Thanks again for your advice, really appreciate it.
