So I'm having some issues getting the remote phone to connect. I have what I *THINK* are all the correct ports forwarded to the MIPU, phone just keeps telling me the MIPU isn't found. I am able to get the phone to connect internally obviously but externally is the issue. I can VPN into the firewall to make any changes, but the phone itself is telling me the IPU isn't found. Any ideas? Thoughts on what I might be missing? I have these ports forwarded:
1718, 1719 UDP 2944 TCP 11000-13000 UDP 1025 TCP
The MIPU is sitting behind a netgear fvs-336g firewall
Edit: So I just found out can't use NAT, anyone know if setting this up with a private IP as a DMZ user will work or is it strictly in need of an external IP??

You have 2 options:
1. The IPU will be on the public internet with a public ip address. It must be in front of any routers and cannot be Nat'ed.
2. You have a VPN TUNNEL (not a vpn client) from the location of the telephone to the location of the IPU.
