So Avaya
still hasn't got the IPO to work with POTS lines apparently. This problem seems to be another twist on the problem I was having
more than a year ago and the reason I stopped selling Avaya.
At the time Mike came up with his work-around but I sure as hell am not going to pay nor would I ask the customer to pay for additional equipment to fix a major problem that the manufacturer doesn't even care to do something about.
My problem was the inability of the IPO, when picking up a call, to seize the line and break the ringing. POTS dial tone was supplied from a cable modem. When brought to Avaya's attention through my distributor tech support, their response was "the IPO doesn't support cable modems". Rarely will you find POTS lines these days that meet BELCORE specs even from traditional phone companies.
