Hello,
I recently took a node (single cabinet) out of the loop that normally connects via a PTP T1 circuit. The existing phone extensions I reprogrammed with 8660 IP phones to be tied directly to the main location which works fine. The problem is that the Attendent Console cannot see them anymore, and other remote node branches do not know how to reach these extensions anymore. I feel like I need to delete this inactive node in session manager but it says that there are references still being made to it. How do I free this node up so I can delete?
Thanks

Peter

You will need to delete ALL page zones, stations, etc. Anything that you can see from your primary node. When you have removed all references to the down node, you will be able to delete the node under nodes. Make sure to to an import/export so that your attendent console can see the other extensions on any other node.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies. I'm on software v8.2. So anyway, there are Page Ports, Page Zones and Stations that are referencing this node 97012. When I right-click on any one of these objects, there isn't an option for deletion. It only gives me options for off-node creation ??
Also, not sure what an import/export with do since I've never done that before. Export from Session Manager and then Import to Attendant Con? Thanks
Peter

You know Peter, I have never deleted a node, only created them at all hours of the night. Have you tried right clicking on the node number and selecting delete?

An inport/export will update the other nodes as to what changes you have made regarding your extensions, applications, hunt groups etc.

Hi RCA,

Yep, I tried that initially and I get this:

'You cannot delete node 97012 because a Primary Rate Card and/or Off-node devices are referencing it'

I deleted all the extensions in the node and recreated them on my IPRC card located at the central office. How can a PRI have an association with a node? I know that there are trunks with the PRI but I there's nothing else that I can see. Could it be that a node is associated to a central processor that doesn't exist now? Once I figure out how to unravel this situation, I think this will be a sweet deal considering the savings I get on the telco bill smile
Thanks for the info on the import, once this is cleared up, I'll give it a shot. Thanks.

Peter
