Hello,
We've currently got 3 DPIM units with some rather ancient KP200 units hooked up to our Samsung OfficeServ 7200. The KP200's are starting to show their age and are thus in need of replacement. (Bad sound quality, rusty internal contacts, hardly functioning half the time.)
A while back when we made the switch to the OfficeServ 7200s we also asked for a quote on door phones where they suggested Fasttel DB9701 units, but at 510€/piece those were a bit too rich four our blood.
Now I'm wondering what are the alternatives. I take it you can't just hook up every door phone/door lock system out there to the DPIM module, or can you? It would certainly save us a bunch of money if we could use any old 50€ door phone.
Does anyone have some additional information on this subject.

You can only connect the Samsung Integrated Door unit to the DPIM as it uses digital signalling from the PBX.
Why not just look at replacing them, like for like?
You can run universal doorphones of an Analogue port on the PBX,by the type youve changed them and configured i think it would be less expensive to replace with the samsung product.
