Hi
I would like to set up a SIP trunk to our ISP's free service. We are trying to evaluate if voip is going to work better for us than our current ISDN line which we are in contract with until June.
Our ISP is plusnet in the UK. I have entered the voip server details into 5.2.13 and can now receive incoming calls to the voip number.
When I try and dial from the PBX to the sip trunk on 8501 it comes up (after a pause) invalid number.
Any suggestions as to what I haven't done?

Not sure Plus Net have been acrredited to use SIP trunks on the Samsung OfficeServ, however you may need to add Voip digits in 5.2.3/4
How is your system set to Public IP or Private?
Do you have server address or IP details in your registrar address you may need one or the other.

make sure to add your number in the Send CLI number 2.4.3 for the extension you're dialing with. For example: if in 5.2.13 you use 555-555-5555 in 2.4.3 for extension 2001 put 555-555-5555

Thanks guys, I've got it working with lots of fiddling. I didn't need to change anything in 5.2.3 but I did need to add the sip server ip address to 5.2.17. Finally I had to add my sip user number into 2.4.3 for the extensions.
Ultimately I want to have two different numbers I dial out from (for two different businesses run from the same premises). Am I right in thinking that I can only have one carrier who would supply multiple trunks rather than multiple carriers supplying one trunk?

You can have one SIP trunk provider that can assign you multiple numbers.
To send the number per extension you need to insert the number next to the extension in 2.4.3
If you require one extension to send multiple numbers you need to assign a TClip key to your handset
