I work as a IT Admin for a grade school.
Purchased a used full iDCS 100 system on ebay primarily for the expansion cabinet and 8DLI cards to expand their present iDCS 100 system to put phones in all the classrooms. The price was right and the main cabinet would be saved for spares.
The expansion went smoothly. But I discovered the 'spare' system had its tech passcode changed and cannot get in to create a school backup on the MCP1 card. I dont care if I reset the entire spare system, just need to know how to default to factory.

You can default the system by turning off the switch on the MCP card.

MCP switch has been off and power supply unplugged all weekend still unable to get past Enter Passcode using SIO connection.

I pulled the card, shorted the supercapacitor without any success.

Also the IP address is not default of 192.168.1.80 so I cant get in that way either.

Can you get in via KMMC, a telephone?

That ip is not the default ip that the systems come with from the factory, it sounds like that was the ip your system was configured with

@Michael V - I will need to breakout an Amphenol cable to connect digkey phone. What do you have in mind?

@nameless - I posted the incorrect IP, tried the default per the manual with no luck. Cannot ping IP either.

To see if you can get into programming with the default passcode, check the software version, ip address, etc. You would need the correct OfficeServ Manager version to talk to it(I'm assuming that is what you mean by sio). Plus there is a clear db option you can do through KMMC.
