Hello all

I am sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but how can I forward a phantom device to the extension that the user is currently logged into? This is in DB Studio 5000

This is in the manual and may explain it better:
Quote
Phantom devices can be forwarded and follow the rules for endpoint manual forwarding and system forwarding.

But it doesn't actually say HOW to do this.

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks,

What Mitel PBX is this? If you don't know the model, describe the box in the phone room. Does it look like a refrigerator, a small refrigerator, a series of PC cases, a microwave oven, a Pizza box?

For most Mitels, the function can be done through the console as an Attendant function. If you do not have a console, you can attach a Superset to the "Phantom" port and then call-forward through the Superkey (blue button). That's the user level method for Call Forward.

If neither of those are possible, and forwarding needs to be done from programming, I recommend calling out a qualified Mitel tech. Rates tend to be reasonable, and this should be less than a one-hour call in most cases.

The Mitel tech can also help to set up an easy method for you, so that you can set and remove call forwarding in the future.

On your system, you are looking for feature code 359 Remote Programming. Leave the handset down, enter 359 then the extension to be forwarded and that ext's STATION password, then the destination extension you want the calls to go to.
