Hello,
Customer has a CICS with Flash VM, wants auto attendant set up so caller presses 1 for Customer Service, 2 for Sales, 0 for operator. CS, Sales and Operator are in hunt groups, 291, 292, and 290, respectively. If none of the groups answers they want to caller to go to the General Mail box.
I set up a CCR to handle the keypress navigation, works that far. The problem I'm having is getting the unanswered calls to go to the General Mail box. Ext. 221 has been assign the box, overflow on each hunt group is to 221, 221 is CFNA and CFB to the Flash DN. I get a message "the person you are calling is not available" and the call goes back to AA/CCR if any group doesn't answer. If I add a mailbox for each group, 290, 291, 292 I get the "mailbox is not initialized" prompt, initializing the 290 box I was able to leave a message - but they don't want 3 boxes, only the General Mail box.
What the heck am I missing? This seems like a trivial task but's been very frustrating. In the system I usually deal with it *is* trivial, so I expect it is here as well
Thanks!

When working with hunt groups I can never figure out the overflowing and going to vm. I try things and it eventually works enough to do. So this may or may not work but try it.
Assign GenD mail box to x221. x221 is not in your hunt group is it? If it is that may be a problem but make 221 in position one of the hunt group if you have to use it. Set up your overflow for the hunt group to the VM DN (find that with Feature 985). Good luck. Let us know if you figure it out.

Been a while since I worked on one so I'm going from memory...I always had problems when I programmed CFB to VM. The CFNA worked for both situations and the CFB did odd things. Maybe some of the other guys with fresher memory can help.

Well, tried your suggestion, NTlayoff, without success. That produced a message "the person you are calling is not available" and then returning the call back to CCR. I added a mailbox for each hunt group and was only able to leave a message in box 290 (the operator group). Shuffling the members around didn't change anything.
Ended up just giving up, it won't do what's wanted - or at least not in any manner I was able to figure out - so cutting my losses. They are moving in a month and want a quote for a replacement system, so maybe all is not lost. Heh.
Thanks for the replies, NTlayoff and RBF!

Something your not doing right perhaps.
3 ways
1. "Set up your overflow for the hunt group to the VM DN (find that with Feature 985)" as mentioned above. This will go to the General mailbox.
2. Setup a new mailbox of 290, overflow to 290
3. Overflow to X 221, it will ring 3 or 4 more times then jump into the General mailbox based on the CFNA settings.
