I have an IP phone at my house. I can get it to work IE.. Hold down 7 8 keys and program the phone. Its set DHCP enabled and bootp disabled. I program the Remote IP to a WAN ip address on our system. Sometime during the day it reboots itself and loses all the programing. Any ideas why or what might fix it?

Thanks

We have the same issue with a pair of older IP Phone+. Know the re-programming gets old, but haven't found a fix yet. Our 8660 and 8662 models seem to be working well at this point. If you figure out something, please post back. Good luck.

You might try upgrading the firmware on this one. A/C Power issues can cause some issues as well. A UPS would be a good idea if the firmware doesn't help.

I think I may have found something. Not 100% yet but I moved the IP Phone to another site and it has held the setting for more then 2 days now. Before I would only get a day. I beleave it may be a DHCP Lease time problem. The old sites dhcp leace time was one day. My guess is when the lease is up the IP Phone restarts to renew the IP and losses the IPRC IP address. I'll post more after more testing. Other help with testing this would be great.

Thanks

Dave,
It's most likely your connection at the remote site. The keep alive message for the IP Endpoint is sent on TCP port 5566. The keep alive is sent every 5 seconds from both the IP Endpoint, and the IPC / IPRC / IPRA. If after three attempts the keep alive process doesn't receive a response or an acknowledgement, the IP Endpoint will reset.
This used to happen to me every so often and i ran an extended ping session from my house to our office, sure enough after 20 seconds of no ping, the IP phone would crap out. Good luck.
