Hi,
I have problems to update SMT-i5243.
3100,3105,5210,5220,5230 no problem with update.
I install TFTP Server on my PC
Menu 5.2.10 Software version and IP Adress off my PC
Menu 6.3.15 Start the update.
I can update all Phones except the 5243.
Where is my problem

The 5243 can be a bit difficult.

I've had to use HTTP in the past cause i couldn't get TFTP to work.

Have a look in your tftp client and see what path its looking for the files in

I think I put this in a prior post? Don't use install tool or device manager to initiate the upgrade. You can use TFTP fine. Initiate the upgrade via the handset menu - phone - {password} - scroll down to S/W upgrade.
Works fine for me every time. If it doesn't check the logs in your TFTP program - you may have the wrong directory selected.

The Path is corret, because all other phones works fine. If I use DM for upgrade a 5210 it works fine, only 5243 doesn't works, also thy upgrade by Phone menu doesn't works. Ther is no connection to my TSTP Server like the other Phones.

I just upgraded our demo 5243 - no issues at all.
Set up the upgrade as you would with other smti phones - set up in dm for software version & upgrade server. Set up your tftp to point to the smti5243 folder containing the files with the itp sub directory & rfu files. Then when you are ready to upgrade don't go to the dm - use the menu structure of the phone - go to phone information {password} - scroll down to Software upgrade - specify the tftp server in the url, press save & then press upgrade. Works fine everytime I have done it.
