I have inherited responsibility for an Axxent System with four incoming lines, 12 extensions, and v2 software. Can anyone tell me specifically what I would need to do to add voice-mail capability? Part-Numbers? Software? Installation suggestions? I do have the programming software and cable for the Axxent System. Will I need additional programming software? It appears that I won't ... right? Can you give me a ballpark on what it might cost for refurbished parts if I install and program it myself? Any good sources for those parts? Thanks in advance for your help. This forum is great!!

According to my records the part number for the 'voice processing kit' is 520.5101. Of course you would want to verify this from the company you are ordering through. This kit should include everything. You are sure you have version 2?

You will not need any additional software except a handy copy of MSDos(latest) or PCDos would be a good suggestion 'just in case'. I believe the Axxent Talk is pre installed on the hard drive. Your programming software is good for both the phone and voicemail system.

Lastly, I wish you luck if you try and tackle this yourself. The Axxent techs on this forum dont mind offering suggestions and tips as this is what this forum is for, but usually problems with Axxents require a site visit from a qualified tech.
